I’d like to say I’ve done something today, but you don’t always get what you want.

Only just got home, I didnt forget honest!

Today’s been another geat day, despite the fact it started off at half 7 with a fly landing on my face several times so me resorting going back to sleep with a straw hat over my face.

I then solved a Silent Witness episode in under half an hour

I’ve been with Matt today until about half an hour ago. I’ve had a great day/night as usual :D. I managed to solve a riddle that he didn’t which made me feel less thick and we solved one together that apparently 98% of the worlds population wont be able to solve. Today he even got a rendition of all the theme tunes to progammes that we used to watch as kids.

I have a good memory that’s all…honest…

Yep!

London Riots

Why’s this still happening? What’s the reason anymore? It’s even happening in Birmingham! What have people in Birmingham got to do with the shooting of the man from Tottenham? It’s just stupid and immature now. People’s lives are at risk and people have lost their homes and everything in their homes that meant something to them and would have held memories.

I hope these people know what picture they’ve now painted of our country and the financial trouble their communities are going to be in now.

What exactly are people hoping to achieve by this?

What I’ve done today: read, over flowed the sink, washed the pots, read, typed this. Goodbye until tomorrow.

Today’s been a lazy day. I never do anything on a Sunday unless I have homework…I never do anything on a Sunday.

I watched West Ham vs Cardiff. Was a good game. I expected West Ham to do better seeing as they still have a lot of very good premiership players in their squad. Robert Earnshaw annoyed me from kick off. He’s a ball hogger, I don’t like ball hoggers. Apart from Matlock vs Chesterfield it’s the first full game of football I’ve seen this season. I don’t think I’ll make every Chesterfield home game this season, I can’t afford it plus my boyfriend comes first and if i have to miss games to see him then so be it!

I went to my grandma’s for tea and watched part of a film called The Secret Garden. My sister just moaned about how depressing it was.

Think I might watch Dr Who on iPlayer now. Goodbye

Tottenham Riots

Why are they still attacking police cars?! They’re probably not even here for that anymore! This is right pissing me off now! Most of these people will just be coming back from the pubs and see a riot happening so want to join in. The looting is obviously nothing to do with the shooting of the 29 year old man on Thursday. I don’t believe this is anymore. It can’t be, it wouldn’t have gone on for this long if it was. It started off as a calm protest, fair enough, but this, it’s just ridiculous and uncalled for.

I hope they realise that they’ve ruined their community, and that prices in those shops are now gonna be sky high and the police are going to be coming down on them like the tons of bricks they’ve thrown at the cars. They’re protesting because they don’t want to be stereotyped, well what do they think is going to happen now?

Setting innocent people’s vans on fire. That’s their livelihood. Disgusting.

Tottenham riots

Apparently 7-9 year old kids are now running riot around Tottenham where 2 police cars, a bus and a shop have been set on fire and looting has taken place from shops with smashed windows.

It seems that the crowd of people who were unhappy with the police shooting a man dead has escalated into a crowd just there for the occasion and just because they can be which, quite frankly, is disgraceful.

Why would anyone want to be a part of this?

Somehow I got 2 cuts of the box further than this :/

Well, what a day.

I went climbing for the first time today (indoors). I was quite scared at first but once I started I was ok. I was a bit embarrassed that on most of the walls I got half way up and was either too small or daren’t jump up to the next one. I did one wall whilst no-one was looking and was like spider-man, oh well, I know I did it.

I felt full of energy afterwards for some reason so I went to my best friends for a bit and ended up playing the box game. Oh.My.Life. I got right to the last level, where I don’t even think it could be classed as a box anymore, and couldn’t take it. I touched it with my lips but I could go no further. Tomorrow I’ll not be able to walk or lift my arms. Oh well at least Cardiff are on the telly.

I’m gonna go burn some energy off on the Wii now so goodbye until tomorrow.

After watching Torchwood last night I wondered, not for the first time, how Eve Myles (Gwen) hadn’t been discovered by the big shows earlier in her career. She was in plenty of Welsh productions in which she played all sorts of characters and pulled them off tremendously. I think there’s greater things yet to come.

Anyhow, today was a great day! :D

For some reason my boyfriend was ready before me, so it was already a great start to the day despite the fact the bus prices have gone up drastically and the driver was a maniac.

I went to Matt’s and watched a couple of films as usual and then we had a bonfire. I’ve been to bonfire’s before, but with masses of people. This one was special. I attempted to toast marshmallows yet just ended up getting half the bonfire stuck to it, but I would have felt bad for wasting a marshmallow if I hadn’t have eaten it. You know what they say, no harm in eating burnt wood! Some people must have said it…
We also cooked apples which tasted like barbecued…apples and Matt cooked us some bacon well at least I hope he cooked us some bacon.

I’m going climbing with him tomorrow which will be highly embarrasing as, I’ve never even attempted to climb before.

Wish me luck!

City under the spotlight as the Community Shield is reborn

Once the foundations have been laid, the stage is set for rapid success. It has been three years now since the Abu Dhabi United Group acquired Manchester City from the scandal-clad palms of Thaksin Shinawatra, and progress has been steady. Financial outlays in past off-seasons have entered the three-digit mark with consummate ease, with managers not quite needing to embrace their inner miser (we refrain from the phrase ‘wheeler-dealer’ to avoid a Redknapp-style, profanity-ridden outburst), but this time, the suave Roberto Mancini has parted ways with barely £50m and yet managed to bring in two established stars, and one highly-touted youngster. Time remains, of course, for further spending.
